Athletics New South Wales offers athletes with disabilities to participate in sports and be apart of athletics clubs. They present opportunities for training and competitions within the region, as well as the larger events in the world. Athletics NSW gives access to all sports, ranging from running to high jump. Diversity is embraced as the club is available for both disable and able people, and whichever they are, they are treated the same.
Little Athletics NSW acknowledges that people with disabilities are just the same as able-bodied people and that they should have the same sporting opportunities because some may be just as talented and they have the same rights to equality. LANSW aims to prevent barriers to involvement and allow for everyone to be included. They follow the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 which states that it is unlawful to discriminate a person or group because of their disabilities by excluding them from sporting activities. They offer advice, support, resources and training for everyone. Thanks to Little Athletics, athletes are able to participate in championships and have access to sport centre to train.
Special Olympics Australia provides sports training and competitions for children and adults who have the unfortunate luck of having an intellectual disability. Their aim is for these people to develop skills, gain courage, experience joy and make friendships. They give people with an intellectual disability opportunity, choice and the possibility to reach their personal best. Special Olympics Australia strives to include everyone and makes sure no one is left out and has no access to the available opportunities.
