Advocating diversity: Advocating diversity is about accepting people's differences and allowing for those difference be a positive thing. This includes highlighting the positive contribution that diversity makes to our society. This can be done by:
Stereotypes Stereotyping involves making unwarranted assumptions about a person based on one characteristic for example the person’s sex, colour, age etc. If people believe in the negative stereotypes, it may make them think of diversity negatively and therefore discriminate. |
